DESCRIPTION:Join the Faribault Parks and Recreation Department on Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. for its annual Pet Parade. This year's theme is "A walk through the decades." \n\nThe Faribault Pet Parade is a long-standing tradition for Faribault. The event sparks the creativity of community members in the surrounding area and gives their beloved pets an opportunity to strut their stuff! However\, you don't need a pet to join this parade. To be a participating member of the parade\, simply consider the theme and prepare accordingly.\n\nParticipants can choose a category to enter in\, or gather some friends and build a float. Many local daycares\, sport clubs\, scout troops and business will build floats\, too. Call 507-334-2064 to register your float\, golf cart or all-terrain vehicle.\n\nCategories include: costumes\, dogs\, unique pets\, farm animals\, bikes/ scooters/ rollerblades\, horse/pony/donkey\, wagons/strollers\, small fury friends\, and battery-powered vehicles.
