He took risks to support his family and connect with the community. He brought on good people to help the firm grow and treated them well.   Jason encourages his staff to participate in community activities and he leads by example. Jason is the president of the Paradise Center for the Arts Board among many other activities in Faribault. \n\nSmall Business of the Year   \n\nJessica A. Hafemeyer Law Office\, P.A.\n\nJessica Hafemeyer has a law practice in downtown Faribault and has practiced law for ten years. As a single practice lawyer she makes time for people in the community through her active local involvement. She serves on the Hope Center Board and is lauded for her efforts within that organization. She also donates her time to Prose\, a legal service for low income victims of abuse.\n\nNew Business Spotlight   \n\nVillage Theater\n\nSteve McDonough took a personal loss and built something as a labor of love that enhances our community. After his wife died in 2012\, Steve purchased the Village Theater building and began a renovation project that now provides family entertainment and gathering space in downtown Faribault.
