SUMMARY:Living History Summer camp
DESCRIPTION:The Rice County Historical Society is still enrolling students for our annual Living History Summer Camp. This popular program gives a fun\, hands-on experience of what history was like in Rice County in the days gone by! This camp is open to all campers who will be entering 4th through 6th grade by fall of 2017. The camp is $50 for members and $60 for non-members.\n\n			Each day of the camp will feature a different aspect of life in the early Rice County. On Monday the History-Campers will learn about fur traders and Native Americans. Tuesday-will feature pioneer life. The campers will move "forward" to the time of grinding wheat into flour. Wednesday is a one-room school experience. Thursday is field trip day! The campers will be on the road visiting the sites of some of the early mills in our county. Friday is family history day. The campers will make a family history booklet and then during the last part of the morning\, we will share this week's experiences with the campers' family and friends. The camp hours are  Monday\, June 12 - Friday\, June 16\, 2017\, from 8:30 am to 12 pm.\n			\n\n			Reservation for Living History Camp can be made in person or mailed to the Rice County Historical Society at 1814 NW 2nd Ave.\, Faribault\, MN 55021.
