On Wednesday, August 15 and Thursday, August 16, the City’s planning consultants will be conducting a downtown design charrette, which will involve preparing design concepts for the downtown based on public input. The charrette will be held in the storefront of 206 Central Avenue. We invite you to stop by the charrette and share your ideas for the downtown.
The downtown design charrette is a collaborative meeting to inspire, explore ideas, sketch designs, and make informed design decisions on the future of downtown Faribault. Designers will be listening to the public and sketching out the public’s ideas for further exploration. We will have “big ideas” on the following topics: 1) Embrace the River; 2) Green Routes; 3) Celebrate the Past; 4) Activate the Downtown; and 5) Revamp Parking. If you need accommodations to participate in the design charrette or if you have any questions about the charrette or any other planning questions or comments, please feel free to contact David Wanberg, City Planner, at dwanberg@ci.faribault.mn.us or 507-333-0350.
