Earrings Basics: Texture, Patina and Finishing. June 18, 10am-12:30pm. Member $20, Non-member $25. Texture and finishing are focused on learning to create texture and depth in metal materials, metal finishing techniques and metal selection. Begin to learn and recognize techniques used by jewelers in jewelry design, metal selection, and make one or more pairs of earrings in class. Learn metal texturing and finishing techniques by the student, earring construction techniques and discussion of metal selection in jewelry design. Introduction to dapping and metal shaping. Students will create polishing sticks and a set of metal textured earrings. Recommended to bring an apron or wear old clothes as patina can stain clothing if spilled. Copper or brass kit with sterling ear wires is $12.00, a sterling kit is $20.00. Instructor: Deb Eilts
