Special Agent Robert Kyle has spent the past 20 years in government service. He served in the United States Air Force for 4½ years and was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. He was trained and served as a Photo Interpreter Specialist while in the U. S. Air Force.
In November 1993, Kyle joined the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and was stationed in Chicago. He started his career at O’Hare International Airport as an Immigration Inspector. In 1996, he was promoted to an INS Deportation Officer.
In May 2002, Kyle accepted the position of Special Agent with the Immigration and Naturalization Service in the St. Paul District Office. On March 1, 2003, with the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, INS and US Customs Special Agents became Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agents.
For the past 9 years, he has worked cases involving Human Trafficking, Human Smuggling and Narcotics. Kyle has worked in the Asset Identification and Removal Group; and is currently the IMAGE Program Coordinator for the ICE SAC St. Paul Office. IMAGE is partnership between ICE and employers in an effort to ensure a legal workforce.
