Power of the Purse
"Literacy" is the theme for United Way's Power of the Purse women's event, sponsored by Wells Fargo. The event is designed to give women an opportunity to enjoy an evening filled with fun including food, dessert and a unique silent auction featuring women’s handbags, designer purses and accessories. A portion of the funds raised will go toward the many United Way and United for Kids projects and programs designed to promote reading for children of all ages. Bring a new or gently used children’s book and entered into a drawing for fabulous door-prizes. $20/person. Cash bar available.
