Loren Dahle, Vice President of the Morristown Historical Society and Rice County Historical Society Board Member presents "The Value of Chickens on the Family Farm" Tuesday, May 25, 2010 beginning at 7pm. This is an opportunity to get a Farmer's perspective on the history of chicken and egg production in Rice County from the settler's dependence on chickens, women's "pin money" , and the changes in production during the 1950s & 1960s. A question and answer period will follow with light refreshments served. The program will begin at 7pm and will be held at the Rice County Historical Society's Museum at 1814 Northwest Second Avenue, Faribault MN. Admission is $1 for RCHS Members and $3 for Non-members.
