DESCRIPTION:Throwing on the Wheel (A Retired but Not Tired class) Session 2 Member $60/Non-Member $70 or $15 per class time. Tuesday Afternoons 1 to 2:30 PM Adult Class. Session 2: February 26 - April 9 (no class March 19)\n\nPrerequisite Course(s) and/or Skills Needed for this class: Must be ready to get dirty!\n\nThrowing on the Wheel is a class to learn the various steps to create pots on the wheel. Dianne\n\nwill guide you thru the various steps needed to perfect your skills by giving demonstrations of\n\nthe process. It is up to the student to put in time to develop those skills. Repetition and\n\npatience are necessary. Throwing is a calming yet frustrating experience that we go thru\n\ntogether. Your first experiences may yield smaller pieces but we are working to develop a firm\n\nfoundation in the skills so that your skills will grow through practice. All levels are welcome in\n\nthis class. Dianne is willing to work with all levels of experience with personal instruction\n\nthroughout the class. Students are encouraged to work in the studio outside of the regular class\n\nhours to further their skills - on the wheel\, repeated practice definitely advances your technique.\n\nPieces will be glazed. Supply Fee: Clay must be purchased at PCA by the student. Cost is $2 per pound or 25# for $45. List of materials the student must supply: Tools will be supplied but PCA will have tools for sale for those who wish to have their own set of tools. Instructor: Dianne Lockerby
