Tourism and Marketing Director
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Website maintenance and editing websites for Tourism and Chamber; Monitor and report regularly on analytics, (website, social media, etc.) 
Coordinate, execute, monitor, and measure the association’s marketing and communications efforts, (Tourism, Chamber of Commerce, Community Events)
Primary responsibility for community and Chamber activities calendars
Coordinate and execute Social Media, Email and Mail campaigns, while meeting deadlines, following timelines, and ensuring uniformity of content/messaging, Work with social media influencers
Works as part of a collaborative, cross-trained team to support the daily operations
Develop relevant, meaningful marketing collateral and content for association programs and membership that aligns with association brand standards (i.e., promotional flyers, programs, website, etc.)
Review and ensure quality of marketing distribution lists, create lists as needed, Design and edit graphics for print or web as needed
 Additional Responsibilities and Duties
Assist with the execution of Chamber events and Community wide events
 Attend some meetings as assigned to act as a second point of contact
Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies
Maintain trusting relationships with customers (Members) and colleagues
Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Website editing abilities with creative flexibility a must
  • Strong understanding of coordination of web/social/blogging marketing tactics
  • The selected candidate will have a “customer first” mindset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment 
  • Thorough understanding of office management procedures
  •  Excellent organizational and time management skills
  •  Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:
Candidates should have at least some post-secondary education and/or a Demonstrable experience in a Marketing/Communications, Chamber of Commerce or Tourism related field will be strongly considered.  Prior sales/marketing, meeting planning, lodging and social media experience strongly preferred.  Familiarity with Faribault attractions and activities also strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time; frequent bending or stooping to access files; required to walk steps frequently; able to lift, carry, and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs. infrequently; stand for long periods of time; travel for long distances; must have access to reliable personal transportation for frequent delivery of materials, meetings, and events.
