Rice County Fair events at RCHS

Be sure to check the Rice County Historical Society’s scheduled activities while at the Fair July 19 – 24, 2011. There will be hands on activities at the log cabin, including shelling corn, grinding wheat, making butter, doing laundry on a washboard, and using a small loom among other activities. There will also be an opportunity for the children to participate in old-fashioned games.

Be sure to drop off your coloring contest entries at the One Room Schoolhouse Wednesday through Friday. Another activity for kids will be a Scavenger Hunt which can be picked up at any of the five Historical Society Buildings. Upon completion it can be handed in at the museum for a prize.
