SUMMARY: Determines the workflow of the Engineering Department by distributing the workload and reviewing performance. This includes quotations for new business as well as the flow of appropriate drawings and product information to Quality and Production for manufacturing purposes and existing business needs. Oversees, participates, and controls the flow of work in the Engineering Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites work flow. Issues written and oral instructions. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances. Adjusts errors and complaints. Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties. Reviews engineering data received from Customers and distributes the material to the appropriate engineer for quoting. Oversees all drafting, engineering, quoting, and engineering change activities and reviews for accuracy prior to delivery to Sales. Responsible to deliver completed work in a timely manner and work with Management to mitigate constraints. Responsible to maintain records including quotes, specs, drawings, models, parts catalogs, manuals, and related documentation. Ensures the appropriate release of parts data and documentation to authorized departments and organizations. Works directly with Sales and Production Control on priorities. Represents Engineering in Sales, Production, Quality, Inventory, or other meetings. Interacts with Customers and travels as necessary.

Familiarity with CAD Software preferred. Pay is up to $85,000 DOE
