This beginning crochet class consists of three 2-hour sessions, where the instructors will introduce you to the fundamentals of crochet and the basic stitches. You will learn these basic stitches, terminology and how to read a simple pattern, providing you with a good foundation for future crocheting projects! Class 1: Introduction to crochet and basis stitches, yarn types, types of hooks, pattern abbreviations and instructions. Students will begin with a simple dishcloth. Class 2: We will finish the dishcloth and begin to work on a scarf or infinity scarf. Class 3: Continue/finish up your work in progress! Class 4: (Optional) Finish up with assistance if needed! No experience required! Supplies are not included.
Materials you will need include: 1 skein cotton yarn, 2 skein worsted weight yarn in the same color, a size 1 H crochet hook (Please avoid dark colors or fuzzy/textured yarn), yarn needle, and scissors.
