This is an in-depth workshop during which participants will learn how to do genealogical research on the internet and at the Rice County Historical Society Research Center. Participants will get tips on organizing their genealogical research and will learn how to navigate the Dalby Database, Ancestry.com, Family Search, and the Rice County Historical Society Research Center and Archives from local experts.
o The registration fee includes: box lunch, 20 free copies, all handouts, internet access, and access to our research files and archives.
o Seating is limited.
o Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops.
o Those who don't bring a computer may use one of RCHS's three computer stations.
The program will begin on January 26th at 10:00am. at the Rice County Historical Society Museum of History, 1814 NW Second Avenue, Faribault MN. Admission is $30.00 for non-members and $25 for members. Reservations are required. Please contact the Rice County Historical Society at (507) 332-2121 with any questions.
