Blitz Build Day, Saturday, July 14, 2012
We’re going to build a house in a day… well, get a good chunk of it done, anyway. We’re doing a Blitz Day at our Faribault site on Saturday, July 14 with the Voegele Family. Sign up individually, or organize a group of friends or co-workers and join us!
We’re hoping for 60 volunteers throughout the day – twenty for each of the following shifts: 7 a.m. – 11 a.m.; 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; and 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
There are three ways you can participate in the day:
1) Volunteer for Construction Projects – you’ll be put to work doing various jobs (more details to come).
2) Provide food for volunteers – We love to keep our construction volunteers happy and fed!
3) Be a Site Host – hospitality is a big part of our work. Site hosts welcome volunteers and make sure they’re kept busy! The site host will come a half hour before the shift starts and stay a half hour later.
SIGN UP for any of those roles by going to our website: habitatricecounty.org. If you have any questions, or would prefer to sign up by phone, please call, 507-744-2933.
***There will be a Blitz Day in Dundas, too – probably in August. Keep checking back for updates!
