Whether you’re just starting your journey to becoming a birder or looking for additional resources to use on your weekly birding adventure, join us at the Interpretive Center for a hands-on lesson in bird identification with your smartphone. Get practice identifying the bird mounts and the feeder birds through our Windows on the Wild viewing area.
A Naturalist will walk you through how to use the Merlin Bird ID app, available for Apple and Android products. The Interpretive Center does not offer public Wi-Fi, so download the app and charge your phone before arriving and expect to use your cellular data throughout the program. Guide books will be available for those without a smartphone who want to learn identification. All ages and experiences welcome!
