Open to ages 7 & up. Pre-registration required.
Ever wondered what it would be like to sleep outside in the winter? Come try it out! We will be learning what a Quinzhee is and how to build one. Most of the program will take place outside where we will be building our Quinzhees near the Interpretative Center. Then come back at 7 pm and be ready to camp out in the Quinzhees we built earlier! We will have a bon fire and roast our supper. Participants should bring their own sleeping bags, sleeping pads/mattresses, and/or blankets. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Supper will be provided. This program will be cancelled if there is not enough snow and the overnight portion will be cancelled if the forecasted low is under 0º F.
